Tyrone's Enda McGinley was injured in a training session |
Enda McGinley has broken a bone in a hand and will miss Tyrone's Ulster Championship clash with Fermanagh on Sunday 6 June. The Errigal Ciaran player, who scored a point in the win over Derry, sustained the injury during a training session.
The news is a further blow to the All-Ireland champions' attacking options.
Peter Canavan is already ruled out of the Clones clash, while Gerard Cavlan is almost certain to miss the game after aggravating a hamstring problem.
However, manager Mickey Harte is blessed with strength on the bench, and can choose from Owen Mulligan and Stephen O'Neill as McGinley's replacement.
Midfielder Kevin Hughes moved to attack with spectacular success in the preliminary round win over Derry, illustrating the permutations available to Tyrone.
The absence of McGinley means it is likely Hughes will once again play at full forward.
