Fermanagh manager Charlie Mulgrew admitted he faced a big task in lifting his players for the All-Ireland replay against Mayo. The Ulster outsiders were disappointed they could not overcome the Connacht champions who were a man down for most of the second half.
"We could have won first time but must be positive and prepare for the replay," said Mulgrew.
"We have to try and produce a better performance. We have another chance."
Defender Barry Owens agreed the Ernesiders had let a good opportunity to reach a historic first final slip.
"We missed a lot of scores, we should have won it today," said Owens.
"We will have a couple of hard training sessions and get over the disappointment of not winning it this week."
The replay will be at Croke Park on Saturday 28 August.
