Fermanagh GAA's memorable weekend got even better on Sunday when Barry Owens was named Tennent's Ulster GAA Writers monthly merit award winner for July. Owens produced another superb full-back display in Saturday's shock All-Ireland Quarter-Final win over Armagh.
He picked up the July honour after producing great performances during the month against Cork and Donegal.
Tom Brewster's point in the fourth minute of injury-time sealed a 0-12 to 0-11 win over Armagh on Saturday.
Owens edged out his team-mate Martin McGrath, Armagh defender Francie Bellew and Antrim hurler Karl McKeegan to claim the Tennent's honour.
He receives a 100 voucher plus other gifts from Belleek Pottery and Pro Star Sports.
