McEntee's injury worry
John McEntee in action against Dublin last summer
John McEntee has been troubled by a back injury
Armagh's John McEntee could miss the start of this season's Championship campaign.

McEntee is already ruled out of the National Football League programme, but a troublesome pelvic problem could see him sidelined until the summer months.

The injury is showing little sign of clearing up and McEntee could face surgery.

Armagh are due to start their Ulster campaign with a home tie against Monaghan on 23 May.

McEntee has osteitis pubis which is inflammation effecting the lower abdominal and pelvic area and very painful while running.

Rest and time are the primary healing mechanisms, surgery could be utililised to clear up the problem.

There is better news for Oisin McConville who underwent surgery last November for a prolapsed disc in his back.

McConville is now back doing light training and is expected to be ready for take part in the NFL campaign.
