Monaghan deny Rule 42 reports
Croke Park has a current capacity of 80,000
Croke Park is one of Europe's most impressive stadiums
Monaghan officials have denied reports that the county will support moves to open Croke Park to other sports.

A number of recent reports have claimed that Monaghan will join Cavan in backing moves to delete Rule 42.

However, Monaghan chairman Gary Carville has said that the Farney county has yet to decide on its stance on the issue.

"We have not discussed the matter, it was not on the agenda at the convention and was not raised then or since.

"If there is a decision to be made pre-Congress it will be made at the April meeting of the county committee when the clubs will mandate the Congress delegation as to how they should vote on the matter."

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Cormac Sullivan has opted out of the Meath football panel.

Sullivan has cited family and work commitments for his decision.

His decision leaves the door open for Dunboyne's David Gallagher to claim the number one jersey.
