Gordon Crockard suffered shoulder ligament damage |
Northern Ireland rider Gordon Crockard hopes to be fit for the next round of the World Motocross Championship in Germany despite his crash at the Dutch GP on Sunday.
Crockard suffered torn shoulder ligaments in the spill but, with the help of intensive physiotherapy, hopes to be in action in Germany on 4 May.
On Monday, Crockard was advised by a specialist at the Ulster Hospital to rest for six weeks but he then sought further medical advice in England.
He will definitely miss next weekend's British Championship round in Norfolk and an event a week later in the Isle of Man.
Crockard currently leads the British Championship and lies ninth in the world series after claiming a fourth place at the opening round in Spain.
Meanwhile, New Zealand rider Bruce Anstey will compete in the Tandragee 100 in May.
Anstey claimed a victory at the North West 200 last season.
