Derry hammered in Limerick
Dominic McKinley's team are battling against relegation
Dominic McKinley's Derry hurlers were hammered by Limerick

Limerick 6-22 0-9 Derry

Understrength Derry were hammered by a whopping 31 points in Saturday's Allianz National Hurling League game against Limerick at Killmallock.

Donnacha Sheehan scored 4-2 for Limerick and the margin would have been greater but for some superb saves by Derry goalkeeper Kieran Stevenson.

Derry trailed 3-14 to 0-2 at the break.

Antrim 3-26 0-8 Kildare

Antrim led only 0-7 to 0-5 at half-time but goals from Liam Watson, Gregory O'Kane and Liam Richmond helped the Saffrons claim a comprehensive victory in Division 2A of the NHL.

Liam Watson top-scored with 1-7 for the Saffrons while Dunloy's Gregory O'Kane contributed 1-4.

Roscommon 1-13 4-12 Down

Martin Coulter hit 3-2 as Down defeated Roscommon 4-12 to 1-13 in Saturday's NHL Division 2A game against Roscommon in Athleague.

The wins maintains Down's drive for promotion to Division One of the NHL.

In the Ulster U21 Football Championship, holders Tyrone, Donegal, Monaghan and Antrim claimed quarter-final wins.

Surprise of the day was Antrim's 2-8 to 0-8 win over Armagh at Casement Park.

Tyrone had to battle to edge out Cavan 1-11 to 1-9 in a repeat of last year's Ulster Final.

Donegal defeated Derry 0-13 to 0-9 while Monaghan had the minimum to spare in edging out Fermanagh 3-6 to 2-8.
