Benny Coulter is one of the bright hopes of Down football |
Tyrone's Ryan Mellon and Down forward Benny Coulter will miss their counties' next two Allianz National Football League games because of weekend sending-offs.
Moy player Mellon received a straight red-card in a club game while Coulter was sent off in Down's Ulster U21 Championship defeat by Monaghan on Saturday.
Mellon has broken into the Tyrone side this year after an impressive underage career.
However, he will definitely miss next weekend's game against Kerry and the following encounter against Cork.
Coulter was dismissed in the final moments of Saturday's U21 game following an off-the-ball incident.
He will miss Down's remaining NFL games against Kildare and Meath.
Meanwhile, Kerry have major injury worries over Seamus Moynihan and Barry O'Shea for Sunday's game against Tyrone in Killarney.
Tipperary changes
Moynihan was carried off with an ankle injury in a club game at the weekend while Barry O'Shea picked up a knock while lining out for his Kerins O'Rahillys outfit.
Meanwhile, John Maughan has confirmed his resignation as Crossmolina manager following the club's defeat to Nemo Rangers in the All-Ireland Club Final.
Maughan is now concentrating on his job as Mayo manager.
Meanwhile, Tipperary have named an experimental team to play Derry in Sunday's NHL game at Dungiven.
The side shows six changes from the team which hammered Wexford at the weekend.
Justin Cotteril displaces Brendan Cummins in goal while in defence, Thomas Costello and Richie Flannery come in for John Devane and Eamonn Corcoran.
In attack, John Carroll replaces Tommy Dunne, John O'Brien comes in for Brian O'Meara while Eugene O'Neill takes over from Mark O'Leary.
