Antrim 0-08 1-13 Louth Antrim manager PJ O'Hare has a lot of work to do |
Louth continued their push for Division One status with a fairly comfortable victory over Antrim at Casement Park. Playing against a stiff breeze in the opening half, Louth stuck six points on the board without reply against an Antrim side who wasted good chances.
It was all of 25 minutes before Kevin Madden finally opened Antrim's account.
Louth, however, were also guilty of not taking their chances and turned around only only four points to the good.
Louth, however, took over control again with the only goal of the game with five minutes remaining.
Antrim keeper Sean McCreavey kicked a clearance straight into the hands of Mark Stanfield who obliged by scoring.
Antrim will now have to do a lot of work before facing Cavan in the opening Ulster Championship game in May.
