Sonia O'Sullivan will take part in the Ras na hEireann next month.

The Cobh runner will use the event as part of her build-up to the World Cross Country Championships which take place a fortnight later.

O'Sullivan will race against Britain's Kathy Butler and another Irish runner Anne Keenan-Buckley at the Louth event.

It will be the first time O'Sullivan has competed at Dunleer.

O'Sullivan hopes to lead the Irish team in the short course event at the World Cross Country Championships in Lausanne.

Meanwhile, Belfast runner Paul McKee has confirmed that he will drop down to 200m at this weekend's Irish Indoor Championships at the Odyssey Arena.

McKee's rivals in the 200m will include Olympic silver medallist Darren Campbell and Irish outdoor record holder Paul Brizzel.

The Belfastman will then head to Stockholm for a high quality indoor Grand Prix meeting on Tuesday where he will run the 400m.
