Kernan tips Errigal
Peter Canavan is Errigal Ciaran's star forward

Enniskillen Gaels v Errigal Ciaran | AIB Ulster Club Football final | Sun 1 Dec 1400 GMT | Live on BBC Radio Ulster medium wave and BBC Sport Online

The man who led Crossmaglen Rangers to three All-Ireland club titles is tipping Errigal Ciaran to win Sunday's AIB Ulster final.

Joe Kernan, who added to his marvellous club record by guiding Armagh to the 2002 All-Ireland county title, believes four-time All Star Peter Canavan could swing it for Errigal.

"They are two evenly-matched teams in the final but Peter Canavan might just be the difference," said Kernan.

Joe Kernan tips Errigal Ciaran to win

"I think Errigal Ciaran are a better side than we thought they were at the start of the year.

"However, Enniskillen will be hard to beat thanks to the experience they have gained in the last few years."

Enniskillen Gaels reached the provincial final in 1999 only to lose to Kernan's Crossmaglen.

Gaels midfield star Tom Brewster said it was great to reach the decider on that occasion, but this time winning was what mattered.

"We were a young side in 1999 and we thought we would get to the final every year," said Brewster.

"But we went out of the story for two years with some injuries.

"We feel we have to win the thing this time."

Favourites Errigal have defeated top sides Crossmaglen and All-Ireland Champions Ballinderry on the way to the decider.

Enniskillen had a more low-key passage to the decider with a comeback win over St Gall's and a comfortable semi-final victory over Gowna.
