Coleman approached by Donegal
Eamon Coleman is currently guiding Fermanagh club Gowna
Eamon Coleman quit as Derry manager in July
Former Derry boss Eamon Coleman is being linked with the vacant Donegal football job.

Donegal officials are understood to have contacted Coleman to ascertain whether he would be interested in succeeding Mickey Moran in the post.

Coleman stepped down as Derry boss in late July after a disappointing season.

Ironically, Mickey Moran, who quit the Donegal job after the county's All-Ireland Quarter-Final defeat by Dublin, seems certain to take over as Derry manager.

Meanwhile, Coleman's Derry assistant Damien Cassidy is being tipped to take the vacant Antrim football job.

Former Down boss Peter McGrath, Mickey Moran and ex-Armagh player John Rafferty are all thought to have turned down approaches from the Antrim county board.

Cassidy's final decision whether to take over from Brian White could be determined whether he is able to bring Martin McElkennon along with him.

McElkennon was also part of Eamon Coleman's backroom team in Derry but the Tyrone man is considering an offer to link up with Fermanagh boss Dominic Corrigan.
