Cole's co-driver was Den Golding on Saturday |
Defending champion Damian Cole is second in the Welsh National Rally Championship, after finishing as runner-up in the Red Dragon Rally. The Hereford man was 30 seconds behind victor Hugh Hunter after 43 miles on Saturday, over some of the most famous special stages in the world. "We were fastest on stage three, but the scent of victory faded as we suffered a puncture," said Cole. The next round of the championship, the Severn Valley Rally, is on 31 May.
