World champion Sebastien Loeb of France stamped his authority on the Rally of Mexico by winning seven of eight stages on day two. Loeb established a 37.7-second advantage over day-one leader Petter Solberg in the Subaru, with Peugeot's Manfred Stohl in third.
Citroen driver Loeb battled through a power steering failure on stage 13, but Solberg was less fortunate.
The Norwegian hit a dog on stage nine and twice found rocks later on.
Citroen's Daniel Sordo is another 32 seconds adrift in fourth while Peugeot's Henning Solberg is over 10 minutes off the pace in fifth.
Championship leader Marcus Gronholm crashed out on day one.
