Loeb has dominated in Turkey |
World champion Sebastien Loeb is heading for a fourth straight victory after extending his lead by 16 seconds on day two of the Rally of Turkey. Loeb eased off after establishing a one-minute advantage on Friday, but he was still the fastest man on show.
The Citroen driver leads title rival Petter Solberg of Subaru by 76.6secs with just two stages to go.
Solberg moved 7.8secs ahead of Peugeot's Marcus Gronholm after three stage wins on the gravel.
 | I'd like to take Sebastien but I think there's too much of a gap now |
Solberg was pleased with his pace after struggling at times on Friday. He said: "It has been a much better day. Yesterday was a disaster in comparison - we lost a lot of time with the mud and rain.
"But today, although the roads are still a bit damp, it's very good. Everything is perfect and we are winning stages.
"Marcus remains a threat and of course I'd like to take Sebastien but I think there's too much of a gap now."
Carlos Sainz, who is making a one-off comeback for Citroen in place of Francois Duval, lies fourth.
Markko Martin is fifth in the second Peugeot with Ford pair Toni Gardemeister and Roman Kresta sixth and seventh.
Gianluigi Galli, who was the only driver to deny Loeb a stage win on Friday, slipped down from second to eighth after a turbo problem with his Mitsubishi.
