Martin recovers for Finland
Markko Martin
Ford star Martin is in third place in the drivers' standings
Ford's Markko Martin will be fit to race in next week's Rally of Finland despite a severe accident in Argentina.

The Estonian's car was written off after a high-speed crash which left him and co-driver Michael Park in hospital.

The pair have received the all-clear to compete in Finland, but will miss the warm-up Pirelli Rally this weekend.

Ford youngster Janne Tuohino will drive in the event after doctors advised Martin and Parks to rest ahead of the 6 August event in Finland.

Tuohino said: "It's a shame that Markko can't compete, but it's a great chance for me, and I think we've got a good chance of winning."

Martin was flown to hospital by air ambulance after the accident and was then transferred to Cordoba for a X-rays on his head, neck and chest before being discharged.
