Newcastle Diamonds beat Glasgow Tigers 53-27 in the Premier League on Sunday despite seeing the meeting abandoned at heat 13 because of rain. Danish rider Kenni Larsen recorded the fastest time of the season with 62.3 seconds but it was Mark Lemon who top-scored for Newcastle with 11 points. It was Diamonds' fifth straight victory and team boss George English said: "Yet again we excelled. "The size of the win just points to how well we are riding as a team just now." Josh Grajczonek was Glasgow's best performer with nine points, followed by guest Jason Lyons who notched six.
