Belle Vue Aces have signed Glasgow's Josh Grajczonek as their number eight rider for the 2009 season.

The talented Australian was recommended to the club by finance director Gordon Pairman, who is also a promoter at the Scottish track.

He is expected to be used as a cover rider by the Aces.

Team boss Chris Morton said: "Josh is one of a group of up-and-coming young Australian riders who showed good form last season. He fits the bill nicely."
