Newcastle Diamonds have completed their line-up for the 2009 Premier League season with the addition of Falkirk-born rider Derek Sneddon. The 26-year-old returns to Tyneside following a seven-year absence, after riding with the Edinburgh Monarchs since his loan spell in 2002. "I'm delighted we've been able to bring Derek back to Tyneside," said team boss George English. "He's hugely popular with supporters and we all know what he is capable of." Sneddon also enjoyed a period in the Polish Second Division with Hungarian side Miskolc. The Diamonds' line-up will also consist of Craig Branney, Jason King, Casper Wortmann, Trent Leverington, Kenni Larsen and Steve Boxall.
