Wolves skipper Lindgren led from the front but his team were well beaten |
Wolverhampton's woeful season continued with another Elite League defeat at Lakeside on Wednesday, by 58-32. Wolves skipper Freddie Lindgren top scored with 8+1 but his team were outclassed by the home side with Tomasz Jedrzejak returning a 13+2 haul. To add to Wolves' problems, they lost Niels Kristian Iversen with a hand injury early on in the meeting. The Dane had an X-ray and was subsequently cleared to ride against Coventry on Thursday. Wolves, who are already facing a relegation play-off in the Elite League, will try to arrest their slump in form at Brandon against the Bees. Tapes go up at 1930 BST.
