Dwayne Mattis' first goal for Walsall secured victory despite them having Rhys Weston and Netan Sansara sent off in the first half at Brighton.

Weston and Sansara were both dismissed with straight red cards, the former receiving his marching orders for a two-footed challenge on Dean Cox.

Defender Sansara was sent off for bringing down Gary Hart but Mattis got the vital goal just before half-time.

He guided in an expert header from substitute Chris Palmer's free-kick.
