Wolves captain Freddie Lindgren could not inspire his side despite top scoring. |
Wolves face their first-ever relegation play-off after another Elite League defeat against Ipswich on Monday night. Wolves lost an eventful meeting 52-40 as Niels Kristian Iversen defied injury, Jesper B Monberg fell twice and Nicoli Klindt hit the fence. Skipper Freddie Lindgren top scored with a 13+2 haul but, crucially, failed to win a race. The result cemented Ipswich's place in the Elite League top four, but left Wolves still rooted to the bottom. One bright note for the Monmore men was a maiden race victory on his Wolves debut for new signing Ludvig Lindgren. Wolves are next in action at Lakeside on Wednesday (17 September), followed by a trip to Coventry 24 hours later.
