Oliver is injured in Lynn victory

John Oliver
Oliver could miss the Premier League play-offs with a broken collar bone

King's Lynn Stars ended the regular Premier League season with a 67-23 win at Mildenhall but lost John Oliver with a broken collar bone.

The Stars rider fell in the final heat of the meeting and could now miss the promotion play-offs.

Lynn were already without Shaun Tacey and Rusty Harrison who will miss the remainder of the season.

Oliver clashed with Mildenhall's Barrie Evans in the final race after producing an impressive haul of 14 points.

The Stars were already assured of a place in the play-offs but ended their season with a comfortable win against the Premier League's bottom team.

Mildenhall did not win a single heat all night at West Row, managing to hold Lynn to 3-3 in just two of the races.

Their play-off opponents will be decided when the regular season finishes next week but the Stars promoters are already fearing they could be without three key riders for the season finale.
