Lindgren top scored for the Wolves against Lakeside with 12 points

Wolverhampton skipper Freddie Lindgren said the team had no real excuses after slipping to a disappointing defeat to Lakeside on Monday.

Wolves lost 47-43 at Monmore Green and remain rooted to the bottom of the Elite League table.

"I think we handed the meeting to Lakeside on a plate. We didn't make them work hard enough," Lindgren said.

"I didn't ride as well as I can but some of the guys were struggling in a big way. I can't offer any excuses."

Wolves have now lost seven meetings on their own patch and are three points adrift at the bottom and are facing a potential relegation play-off.
