Coventry Bees have announced young Czech rider Filip Sitera will join the club in August.

The 20-year-old recently competed at Brandon in the World Cup and is likely to slot into the side at reserve, though that decision is yet to be made.

Bees co-promoter Peter Oakes told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire: "He's a very exciting prospect.

"He's got a good pedigree, a good backing and comes from a speedway family," he added.

Sitera has been crowned national champion in his home country at both under-19 and under-21 level.

The Czech's first meeting with Bees is likely to be the trip to Peterborough Panthers on Thursday, 7 August.
