Poole team manager Neil Middleditch says Pirates rider Chris Holder is the best young talent he has seen in 10 years. Holder, 20, has made a huge impression in this season's Elite League for the South Coast outfit. "I have to pinch myself about how young he is with the maturity he shows when he is out on the track," Middleditch told BBC Radio Solent. "He is the most exciting 20-year-old I've seen in many many years." The Australian made his long-awaited step up into the Elite league this season after a year in the Premier League with the Isle Of Wight Islanders, but still as a Poole asset. Holder had a highly successful campaign last year, coming very close to scooping the World Under-21 championship. Middleditch, who recently resigned his post as the Great Britain manager, says the youngster is a joy to manage: "The nice thing about Chris is he just wants to ride motorcycles. "He's a 20-year-old kid and he wants to go as fast as he can on a motorbike and it's fantastic to work with." Poole Pirates have a break from the track until 23rd July because of the World Cup.
