Kling enjoyed one of his best meetings of the season |
Lakeside Hammers began their Knock-Out Cup campaign in style with a 51-39 away win over Peterborough Panthers. In the first leg, held at the East of England Showground, the visitors took victory in ten of the fifteen heats, including three heat maximums. Andreas Jonsson rode to four wins on his way to a 13+1 score, while Ricky Kling took two wins and two paid seconds for an impressive 10+2 haul. Hammers host their home leg at the Arena Raceway on Friday. The Essex side will make one change to their successful line-up with regular number eight Chris Mills replacing Jerran Hart as cover for the injured Joonas Kylmakorpi. Mills was unavailable to ride in the first leg due a commitment with his Premier League club, Redcar Bears.
