Kevin Doolan impressed with 14 points for the Stars

An impressive 14 points from King's Lynn's Kevin Doolan saw the Stars claim a 61-32 win over Workington Comets.

Former Stars rider Daniel Nermark was the stand-out performer for the Comets but his 14 points were not enough to trouble Lynn.

Speedway commentator Edwin Overland told BBC Radio Norfolk: "Lynn were so quick off the mark, Workington didn't know what hit them."

The Stars are next in action against Redcar on 11 and 12 June.

Overland added: "The Stars are starting to click and come good this year. They are turning the Norfolk Arena into a fortress and other sides are quaking in their speedway boots before they visit the place."
