Belle Vue boss Chris Morton has begun a search for new blood in a bid to revive the Aces' injury-ravaged season. Since Steve Boxall was injured at Coventry in March, Billy Forsberg and Lukasz Jankowski have joined the casualty list. Morton said: "We have got to look at options to strengthen the side and that is what we are doing. "What we can do is limited by the rules but we may be able to change when new averages are enforced next month." Forsberg and Jankowski returned in the 48-42 defeat at Lakeside Hammers on Monday but both looked in need of extra sharpness. | We are in a recovery situation now that Forsberg and Jankowski are back but we need them in top form again as soon as possible Belle Vue boss Chris Morton | Morton added: "The injuries have hit us hard and it's very frustrating not to be able to put our best side on the track. "We are operating our team strength on the 38.85 points aggregate figure on which we started the season, but we will establish a new figure for July and, if we can make a beneficial change in the team, then we will do so. "We are in a recovery situation now that Forsberg and Jankowski are back but we need them in top form again as soon as possible. "Forsberg was forming a very strong pairing with Jason Crump when he was injured and the sooner we get can back to that situation the better." The Aces are away to Coventry on Friday and Eastbourne are the visitors to Kirkmanshulme Lane next Monday.
