King's Lynn Stars have enlisted the help of Billy Janniro for Wednesday's home Knockout Cup tie with Reading.

The Coventry Bees rider will guest in place of the injured Kevin Doolan against the Racers.

The Stars must make up a 25-point deficit to keep their hopes of a fourth defence of the cup alive.

Manager Rob Lyon believes Janniro can play a key role: "Billy was our first choice, he knows what needs to be done and hopefully will be an inspiration."
