The Eastbourne Eagles have promised their support to Lewis Bridger after he pleaded guilty to causing actual bodily harm following an incident last year.

18-year-old Bridger will be sentenced on 19 May at Lewes Crown Court.

An Eagles club statement said: "The club regrets the involvement of one of their riders in such an incident."

It added: "Lewis�s actions are completely out of character - he shall receive full support throughout this difficult period."
