Peterborough Panthers manager Trevor Swales hopes his team can continue their 19-month unbeaten home run against Eastbourne on Tuesday night. Panthers lost 59-35 at Eastbourne in their first Elite league match of the season - but Swales is confident for the East of England return. Swales told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "We've had guys who haven't been firing but hopefully we've sorted them out. "The lot of them have got to start contributing a few points per meeting." Peterborough have made a slow start to the season, having followed that defeat against Eastbourne with a 45-45 draw at home against Lakeside in the Craven Shield. But Swales said: "We have no intention of giving up our home record lightly. "We don't want to be beaten home or away, but more so home than away obviously. | We're raring to give Eastbourne a good hiding in front of the cameras Peterborough Panthers manager Trevor Swales |
"Danny King was absolutely flying at the end of the last meeting so he seems to have sorted out any gremlins he had. "We just need to get some of the others going as well now." Following some disappointing performances in the Craven Shield, Swales insists his team are close to reaching their potential. "We're there or thereabouts now and I think we've done the hard work in getting most of them sorted. "We're raring to give Eastbourne a good hiding in front of the cameras."
