Swales changes Peterborough order

Speedway

Peterborough Panthers team manager Trevor Swales has changed his team order after a poor start to the Elite League season.

Panthers were beaten 59-35 in their first league match against Eastbourne.

Swales said: "We feel the team are not as happy as they could be with the riding order and it will change for [Lakeside on] Thursday."

Morten Risager will move to number two to partner Hans Andersen and Sam Simota will drop down to join Kenneth Bjerre.

In addition the reserves Claus Vissing and Henrik Moller have swapped race jackets as well.

Swales said: "The problem we were having was that Risager and Bjerre were both fighting for the same bit of track and getting in each other's way, they both like the inside line."

Peterborough will hope to improve for Thursday's home meeting with Lakeside at the East of England Showground.

Swales has been pleased with the form of new rider Claus Vissing but admits he's disappointed by the start Henrik Moller has made to his Panthers career.

"If there's a bright part to this season it's Claus Vissing and he's doing more than can be asked of him," Swales told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.

But he added: "We're a bit worried with Henrik Moller as we know he can do it but he's not performing in this country at the moment, we will see what we can do to help him out.

"I just feel that there's a lot to come out of the boys yet and we're not getting the best out them yet."
