Stoke Potters opened up their Premier Trophy account in style with Saturday night's 49-41 win over Redcar Bears. Lee Complin top scored for the Potters, while only Jesper Kristiansen was out of the points in a solid team effort.
"The win was built on character because Redcar started much the better," said Potters team manager John Adams.
Redcar led 15-21 after six races but wins for Barrie Evans, Ben Barker and Complin in the next three set the Potters on the way to victory.
"We needed to settle but there were a lot of good signs" said Complin.
Stoke should have started their season at Redcar on Thursday night, but the fixture was postponed because of bad weather in the North East.
