Redcar Bears' Australian rider Tyrone Proctor has been granted an exit visa from the British Consulate in Canberra after MP Vera Baird stepped in to help. Boss Glyn Taylor had appealed to the MP after three previous attempts to obtain a visa for Proctor were rejected.
He said: "What a debt of gratitude the club and its fans owe to Vera Baird for pursuing Tyrone's case so effectively."
Despite earlier fears Proctor will now be available for the opening Conference League meeting with Stoke on 20 March.
