 Smith claimed two Grand Prix wins in the 2009 season |
Oxfordshire's Bradley Smith could only manage to finish eighth in the opening Grand Prix of the season in the 125cc World Championship. The 19-year-old from Beckley, last season's championship runner-up, had qualified in ninth place for the floodlit race in Qatar. Smith's Aspar team-mate Nico Terol claimed the victory in an all-Spanish top three at the Losail circuit. The next race takes place at the Motegi circuit in Japan on 25 April.
