Glasgow A-Plant Tigers had to battle for their first three points of the season |
Berwick Bandits were held to a draw by Edinburgh Monarchs, while Glasgow Tigers saw off Redcar Bears on Sunday in the Premier Trophy. The Bears made the brighter start at Ashlfield, but three late heat wins gave Glasgow all three points. In a thrilling 46-46 draw at Shielfield, Monarchs led the way, but Michal Makovsky rode brilliantly for a win that secured a share of the points. Berwick and Edinburgh both now sit at the top of the table with five points. On Saturday evening, the Tigers failed to open their account when they lost out 41-54 at Workington.
