Ian Hutchinson won the Ulster Grand Prix Superbike race in 2007

Former North West 200 Supersport 600 race winner Ian Hutchinson has confirmed that he will ride Honda machinery at this year's event in May.

Hutchinson will ride the same machines at the Isle of Man TT in June, where he is also a previous 600 class winner.

The Yorkshire rider is expected to reveal the identity of the team he will compete for in the next few days.

He has been linked with the Padgetts Racing team who have enjoyed success with John McGuinness in recent years.

The Rob Mac Yamaha team and JMF Millsport Yamaha had also been mentioned in relation to the former Ulster Grand Prix Superbike winner in recent months but he will now ride Hondas.

Hutchinson is the last of the big-name road-race stars to confirm his choice of manufacturer for 2009.
