Michael Rutter will be aboard Yamaha machinery in 2009.

The North West 200 racing team are to compete in conjunction with the Rob Mac Yamaha racing team in the 2009 season.

Michael Rutter has agreed to ride for the outfit, which previously campaigned Ducati machinery, in the British Superbike series and the North West.

There is also a chance that Rutter will take in the Isle of Man TT races.

The Midlands rider will be partnered by Chris Walker who was unveiled as the Rob Mac Yamaha rider a few weeks ago.

Rutter won a Superbike race at this year's North West 200 and finished second in the Macau Grand Prix in November.
