Michael Rutter won the Sunflower Trophy race for a second time

The North West 200 Ducati team is poised to be back in action next year with Michael Rutter again the spearhead of the locally based outfit.

The Englishman won the Sunflower Trophy on Sunday with Toomebridge team-mate John Laverty in second place.

Rutter will race in the British Superbike Championship and the NW 200 team hope to have the finances to run Laverty in the same series.

The team will meet with Ducati to discuss budgets for the 2009 season.
