Michael Dunlop follows in the footsteps of dad Robert who rode a Norton |
Michael Dunlop has been cleared to ride a 588cc Norton Rotary at the North West 200 in May if the factory decides to compete at the event. A ruling at the Inter Centre Conference of the MCUI in Dublin on Saturday ensured the bike would be eligible for the North West and Ulster Grand Prix. The Norton will be rated as a 999.6cc machine for all Superbike races held under the MCUI jurisdiction. Dunlop will ride the bike in the Senior TT in the Isle of Man in June.
