Irish Superbike champion Michael Pearson took two second places and a third in the Superbike races at the Cock of the North races at Scarborough. Pearson was second in the Grand Final and the second Superbike event, having been third in Superbike race one. Ian Lougher won all three big races and also won both 600cc races, both 250cc classes and a 125cc race to finish with eight race wins, plus one heat victory. Lisburn's Dwyer Agnew was third and fourth in the two 600cc races. Chris Palmer was the only rider other than Lougher to win a main race, beating the Welshman in the second leg of the 250cc category.
