 Michael Pearson was second in both Superbike events |
Gerard Kinghan and Michael Pearson were winners in the latest round of Irish Superbike races at Bishopscourt. Kinghan won race one from Pearson and James Dickson with Pearson beating Dickson and Denver Robb in the second race of the day on Saturday. Brian McCormack, who led the series, claimed two seventh place finishes. Kirk Jamison won both Supersport 600s, Lee Hill both Mini Twins, Paul Robinson and David Craig the 250 races and Davy Lemon and Josh Elliott won 125 events. Michael Sweeney and Wayne Kirwin were second and third in the first Supersport race while Sweeney and Alistair Kirk completed the podium in race two. Craig and Ronan Shanahan followed Robinson home in the first 250cc and then Craig saw off Robinson and Derek McLaughlin in the second race. Lemon came home ahead of Elliott and Mark Lunney in 125cc race one Elliott was first, Lunney second and Andrew Pollock third in the next race. Wayne Kiriwn was runner-up in both Mini Twins races with Alan Brown and Alan Glasgow each taking a third place. Dickson took the flag in the second Superbike race but Pearson successfully appealed the result, arguing that Dickson had passed under a yellow flag.
