Lincolnshire's Steve Plater has paid tribute to his team after a triple win in Ireland.

Plater, from Woodhall Spa, was triumphant in the two Supersport races and the feature race at the North West 200 meeting on Saturday.

Plater said: "That wasn't a bad day at the office was it? For me it was mega.

"It hasn't really sunk in yet, maybe I need to just get away on my own for a while and think about what I've achieved here," he added.

First win

"The team have done a magnificent job and given me the ingredients to win the main race of the day so I have to say a big thank you to them."

Plater will now take a short break before travelling to the Isle of Man for practice before the TT races.

Three other Lincolnshire riders were also involved in the NW 200.

After years of trying, frequent podium visitor Michael Wilcox, from Torksey, finally made it up onto the top step after taking his first win in the 125cc class.

Ruskington racer Rob Frost secured three top 12 results from five races.

While Branston's Dave Hewson rode to 34th place in the five-lap Superbike race and 32nd in the Superstock event.
