Eugene Laverty competes for the Blusens Aprilia team

Eugene Laverty achieved his second successive points finish when he claimed 13th place in the Chinese 250cc Grand Prix in Shanghai.

The Toomebridge rider, who was 15th in the previous round in Portugal, claimed three points in China and he is now placed 19th in the championship.

Finland's Mika Kallio won the 250cc race, ahead of his KTM team-mate Hiroshi Aoyama.

Kallio has a 21-point lead over Italy's Mattia Pasini in the championship.

Laverty competes for the Blusens Aprilia team.
