Motorcycle: Yamaha
Riders: James Toseland, Colin Edwards Toseland carries the hopes of a nation with him as the only British rider in this season's MotoGP steps up from World Superbikes, where he is the reigning champion.
The 27-year-old, who is a keen pianist and plays in a rock band called Crash, will want to ensure there is no repeat of last year when, for the first time, no UK rider scored a championship point.
Edwards, 34, is also a two-time World Superbikes champion. The American is still looking for his first MotoGP race win after five years.
