Mid-Antrim 150 future is in doubt
Dungannon's Ryan Farquhar
Ryan Farquhar won three races at this year's Mid Antrim 150
The future of the popular Mid Antrim 150 road races is in doubt after the resignation of race official and clerk of the course Norman Gordon.

Gordon has resigned from the Ulster Centre and highlighted a number of issues of concern in a letter submitted to Saturday's annual general meeting.

He revealed that the Mid-Antrim club committee had unanimously agreed not to stage any tarmac events in 2008.

The Centre has offered to meet with Mid Antrim officials to discuss the issues.

The problems appear to lie in certain aspects of health and safety regulations.
