Jonathan Rea's preparations for his 2008 season have been upset by a knee injury which could prevent him from getting on a bike for several weeks. Rea underwent a knee operation a fortnight ago but complications over the weekend meant that he had to return to hospital for further treatment.
The Ballyclare man is likely to have to stay in hospital for some time.
Rea finished runner-up in this year's British Superbike series behind his HM Honda team-mate Ryuichi Kiyonari.
