Laverty clinches Superbike berth
Michael Laverty
Michael Laverty is one of three racing brothers
Michael Laverty from Toomebridge will ride for the Relentless Suzuki by TAS Racing team in next season's British Superbike championship.

Laverty recently won this season's British Supersport series for the Moneymore-based team run by Hector and Philip Neill.

Laverty previously competed in Superbikes for the Stobart Honda team.

Ian Lowry will ride for TAS in the Supersport series with Cameron Donald and Bruce Anstey the road race runners.

Donald is also expected to compete in one of the British championship classes while Adrian Archibald will receive some support from the TAS team for the major road races.

Laverty's ride will be the first time a factory-backed team from Northern Ireland has competed in the prestigious British championship.

The Toomebridge lad turned down offers to ride in the United States to maintain his association with the local outfit.
