Toseland currently has a 66-point lead in the World Superbikes series |
James Toseland is looking forward to learning from team-mate Colin Edwards when he switches to MotoGP this winter. Toseland, closing on a second World Superbike crown, is to partner the experienced Texan at Tech 3 Yamaha.
"His experience can only help me because I'm going to be a complete novice at MotoGP level with a lot to learn," said the Sheffield rider.
"I was his team-mate 10 years ago in World Supersport with Castrol Honda, so it's ironic that we're together again."
Yamaha have endured a disappointing MotoGP season this year with Marlboro Ducati's Casey Stoner dominating the class, winning eight out of the 13 races so far.

Toseland admitted his new team will need a productive winter to get up to speed.
He said: "At the moment Yamaha isn't the strongest package out there and Ducati are flying but I know Yamaha's plans for next year and I'm sure it'll be a competitive package."
Toseland is currently 66 points ahead of Nori Haga in the World Superbike standings with three rounds remaining.
